My Engagements

Mari

Mari is hands down the cutest person in the world. She is a beam of light. For her wedding day I wanted her to look like a glowing, blushing bride. That's exactly what she was so it didn't take much. I focused on her cheeks, adding a lovely cream peach colored blush to the apples, and a bronze contour to the perimeter. I highlighted and added a light liner to her uniquely shaped eyes to bring them out. She looked gorgeous.

For her hair we added some extensions and created soft curls that all flowed in unison to create an almost-finger wave look in the back and from the side. She looked like a young and fresh, but romantic bride with her beautiful long hair.

Rebecca

Rebecca made a beautiful bride. She was so easy to work with with her dark Hawaiian eyes and thick hair. She wanted a very classic bride look for her wedding day but didn't want to look like she had too much makeup on. We made sure that she still looked like herself but just enhanced her natural beauty. We focused mainly on her dark eyes. We highlighted just below her eyebrow to create the appearance of a bigger lid and higher brow arch. We used a soft pink on her lips to give them a soft, kissable look.

For her hair, we curled it, and brought it into a high pony tail. I then looped and pinned until we had the perfect up-do she was looking for.

My Wedding

I did the hair and make up for my own wedding. For myself on my wedding day I wanted my skin to look like porcelain. I don't have the best skin on earth, but on this day in particular I wanted it to appear as though I did. I used a foundation that I knew would reflect light perfectly for the camera. I think I got the exact look I was going for. I used neutrals, pinks, and peaches on my eyes, cheeks and lips. I enhanced my own eyelashes with using false end lashes, which really brought out my green eyes.

I did three different looks with my hair that day. I added extensions for volume and gently curled my hair. I the pulled pieces back and let it just fall loose and long. I also pulled it into an elegant side pony tail for part of the day.

I did the hair and make up for my bridal party as well, with the help of Tracey Cianfalone. Together, we brought out the best in everyone with custom color selections and working to bring their best features to attention. We curled and added volume to everyone's hair.

Ashley

Ashley is my beautiful best friend. She is always a great canvas for me to work with. She has naturally beautiful skin that I just want to enhance and draw attention to. She also has amazing eyebrows that perfectly frame her blue eyes.

For her wedding she wanted a fresh and timeless look with her hair and makeup. On her makeup we used soft neutrals on her eyes because I wanted attention to be brought to her plump lips. I still wanted her blue eyes to stand out, so I used a dark plumb liner and false eyelashes on her. I highlighted around her nose and contoured around her jaw and cheek bones to create the appearance of a more oval face shape.

For her hair we added extensions, curled them, and swept them into a secure but elegant side bun. We let little tendrils frame her face for that soft, bridal look.

I also did the hair and makeup for Ashley's entire bridal party. Everyone wanted something a little different. We did some smokey eyes with soft lips, some soft eyes with bright lips, and some heavy lining. I think everyone deserves to have cheek bones when they are being photographed (something I think is often forgotten about) so I made sure everyone's cheeks were brought to attention with the correct highlighting and shadowing for their face shape.
